« Villa Bambola » is the title of a new collection of limited collectible glass vessels by Dana Arbib.
A graduate of Parsons School, Dana has worked within numerous facets of design and has been exploring global crafting techniques for over 10 years. Dana’s motto is to promote slow and small production by collaborating with artisans and exploring various crafts around the world. It is for this reason that in 2020 (in the middle of the global pandemic) « Villa Bambola » came to life in Murano, Venice – the island of glass. Murano is a world-renowned, dedicated and pioneering in the art of glass making and blowing since the 11th century.
The collection featured here is inspired by her cultural heritage, a Jewish Libyan father who found refuge in Italy. Dana is further influenced by North African shapes and Italian colors. This collection is an ode to her father and his house in Libya named « Villa Bambola ».

Our Founder, Nadja Roman, has included a piece from the collection in an exhibition she curated for The Venice Glass Week , "Mille Bolle" is still on display at the Il Palazzo Experimental.
